Wallace is a research assistant with the Wisconsin Equity and Inclusion Laboratory (Wei LAB) and a doctoral candidate with the School of Education’s Department of Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis. His work explores both masculinities in higher education as well as how Black men develop identities in the engineering field and beyond.

The MCT Foundation provides support for African American, LatinX, and other underrepresented groups through scholarships, grants, and professional development. This annual scholarship is given to graduate students showing great promise in their academic pursuits.

Wallace is one of two recipients of the scholarship this year.

“We wholeheartedly believe that these two inspiring individuals will work to pioneer influential changes in higher education, perpetuating our foundation’s central mission…” says the MCT Foundation chair, Martino Harmon.
