UW–Madison’s Anthony Hernandez, a teaching faculty member in the School of Education’s Department of Educational Policy Studies, has been selected as a Media Fellow with the Scholar Strategy Network (SSN).

This competitive year-long fellowship equips a small cohort of scholars with training and mentorship to effectively share their research with wider public audiences through print, broadcast, and digital media. As a Media Fellow, Hernandez will work with experienced mentors and SSN staff to expand the reach and impact of his scholarship.
As part of the program, Hernandez will be paired with Anne-Marie Núñez, executive director of the Diana Natalicio Institute for Hispanic Student Success and Distinguished Centennial Professor at the University of Texas at El Paso. Núñez will serve as his mentor throughout the fellowship year.
The Scholar Strategy Network is a nonpartisan organization of scholars across the United States that connects research with policymakers, civic leaders, and journalists.
