Tandem Press will host its annual holiday open house and print sale on Saturday, Nov. 22, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 1743 Commercial Ave. in Madison.
During the event, Tandem Press’ collaborative printmakers will demonstrate a variety of printmaking processes commonly used in the studio to create editions with world-renowned artists. The schedule includes intaglio printing with Alexandra Riesco at 11 a.m., screen printing with Patrick Smyczek at 11:45 a.m., and relief printing with Jason Ruhl at 12:30 p.m.
Guests can browse a wide selection of available prints by over 100 artists representing many genres and styles. Tandem Press curators will be available to offer consultations, and many prints will be eligible for a 20% discount if purchased during the open house, with the discount continuing through the end of December.
Visitors are also invited to view Tandem’s current exhibition, “Silver Lining: The Prints of Derrick Adams.” Over the past six years, Adams has created nearly 20 vibrant prints in collaboration with Tandem Press. This exhibition highlights that partnership, featuring works that celebrate leisure, domestic life, and personal style through bold color, repeating patterns, and cadenced compositions. The exhibition is on view through Dec. 19.
