Aireale Rodgers, an assistant professor in the Department of Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis in the School of Education, has been selected for funding through UW–Madison’s Exceptional Service Support Program.

The program recognizes assistant and associate professors who perform service activities beyond what is expected of tenure-track and tenured faculty members. The program offers flexible funding as a direct investment in the faculty member’s success. This support is designed to advance their research and teaching, ensuring their service does not impede their career progression.
Recipients will receive $10,000 in flexible funding for the 2026–27 academic year.
Rodgers was recognized for her outstanding service contributions. According to her nomination, she has taken on a broad range of service roles, including serving on multiple departmental committees, contributing to faculty governance through sponsored resolutions, mentoring doctoral and undergraduate students, and advising student organizations.
“I became a professor because I wanted to help create the conditions for students to thrive at our institutions,” Rodgers said. “In all I do, I strive to lead with love, integrity, and a conviction toward justice, and I am honored that these commitments are valued and recognized by my colleagues.”
Her nomination also highlights her work supporting student initiatives and contributing to university-wide efforts related to equity, admissions practices, and student support.
