
Rosemary Russ is one of 12 UW–Madison faculty members chosen to receive a Distinguished Teaching Award this year. These honors have been given out since 1953 and recognize the university’s finest educators.
Russ is an associate professor in the School of Education’s Department of Curriculum and Instruction, and the faculty co-director of the Madison Teaching and Learning Excellence program.
She will receive the Van Hise Outreach Teaching Award, which was created to recognize excellence in outreach teaching.
An in-person ceremony is planned for 5 p.m. on April 19 at the Pyle Center to recognize the award recipients. The event is open to the public, and anyone wishing to join can contact the Office of the Secretary of the Faculty to learn how to attend.
