School of Education faculty member Colleen Conroy, an assistant professor in the Department of Theatre and Drama, is among 13 UW–Madison faculty members selected this year as recipients for Distinguished Teaching Awards, an honor established in 1953 to recognize some of the university’s finest educators.

Conroy is being honored with the Chancellor’s Inclusive Excellence Teaching Award. Two outstanding faculty members are chosen each year for this award whose creative and inclusive environments and practices are in the spirit of the Wisconsin Idea.
All members of campus and the community are invited to attend a ceremony recognizing this year’s awardees. Hosted by Interim Provost John Zumbrunnen and Chancellor Jennifer Mnookin, the event will take place at 5 p.m. April 15 in the Great Hall of Memorial Union.
A link to RSVP for the ceremony will be posted on the awards website in February. In addition, more information about the honorees’ achievements will be shared in a future issue of Inside UW.
